Homes for HOPE Celebration Event 2024- Keystone Charlotte

Apr 10, 2024

It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood – a brand new, Charlotte, NC neighborhood built by our friends at Keystone Custom Homes! Their dedicated team, trusted trade partners, and resourceful suppliers gathered on a sunny, breezy day to celebrate the completion of their first Homes for HOPE Project in the region! J.D. Liddell in the movie Chariots of Fire said, “You can praise God by peeling a spud if you peel it to perfection. Don’t compromise. Compromise is the language of the devil. Run in God’s name and let the world stand back in wonder.” And let me tell you, this well-crafted home was all praise – no compromise.

We enjoyed delicious barbecue together and rejoiced over the more than $80,000 donation their hard work and generosity produced!

Their incredible support will enable HOPE International this year to serve over 3,200 entrepreneurs who are living in poverty in some of the toughest places on earth. And that only represents a portion of the exponentially growing impact this home will have around the world. Each of the entrepreneurs that HOPE serves is part of both a family and community. Many of them employ others, all of whom feel the impact of having access to loans, biblically based business training, solidarity groups, and a safe place to save. The results of which are immeasurable and felt personally, social, materially and spiritually. As the people HOPE has the privilege of serving start or continue their journey toward true flourishing, we can’t thank partners like Keystone Custom Homes enough for coming alongside them in their work. Thank you, Keystone Custom Homes, for investing in entrepreneurs and giving them a hand up, not a handout.

If you or someone you know would like to join the growing movement of building industry partners fighting global poverty with Homes for HOPE, please don’t hesitate to contact me, Matt Baehr at mbaehr@homes4hope.org.
