Executive Director, Homes for HOPE

Matthew Baehr brings nearly two decades of experience in disaster relief, humanitarian aid procurement, and ministry to his role as executive director of Homes for HOPE. An experienced speaker, networker, and fundraiser, he enjoys growing organizations through strategic planning and leadership development. Matt serves as an elder at his church and loves spending time with his amazing wife, Heather, and their four great kids.

Western U.S. Development Manager, Homes for HOPE

Drake serves as the Western US Representative for Homes for HOPE. Prior to joining our team in 2022, Drake spent five years working for ministries in the Dallas area and two years working in Sub-Saharan Africa, including one year as a HOPE International Fellow in Harare, Zimbabwe. Drake is passionate about sharing the stories of men and women overcoming poverty, isolation, and hopelessness through the work of HOPE. He received his B.A. in Marketing from Dallas Baptist University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Nonprofit Management from Liberty University. He lives with his wife, Morgan, son, Judah, and dog, Elie, in Richardson, TX, where they are active members of Mosaic Church.

Eastern US Representative, Homes for HOPE

Hope serves as the Eastern US Representative for Homes for HOPE. Hope joined the team in April 2024 with a heart to bring awareness of HOPE’s mission and to connect partners with their passion to see lives transformed. Growing up as a military brat, she was exposed to many different cultures and backgrounds. This laid the groundwork for her authentic love of people and appreciation for differences. Now, with over fourteen years’ experience in non-profit ministry, Hope has seen the power of the Gospel lead people to the heart of God. She lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband and is active in her church and community.

Marketing and Operations Specialist, Homes for HOPE

Kirstin joined our team as the Operations and Marketing Strategist after fifteen years in campus ministry. She has a B.A. in History from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Certificate in Biblical Studies from Cru’s seminary partners. The Lord gave her a heart for the nations when she accidentally lived in the international dorm as a student, and she has been passionate about crossing cultures and responsible engagement ever since. She loves getting to be a part of the greater work of HOPE International by providing operational support to the Homes for HOPE team. She and her husband met while she was serving in Botswana, and they have since settled in Lancaster, PA with their two little girls.

Associate Development Operations Advisor, Homes for HOPE

Abby joined the team with experience in Marketing and Development and a passion for systemic change and holistic restorative justice. Abby holds her B.S. in Business Administration and has worked with various organizations fighting to end global poverty. She’s traveled for work and has lived in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Tennessee, and Kenya. She currently lives in Connecticut with her pet rabbit, Boo, where she enjoys hiking, biking, and doing anything on or around the water.
