Remembering Ron Froehlich

Mar 20, 2023

It is with a heavy heart that the Homes for HOPE team shares of the passing of builder partner and friend, Ron Froehlich of Froehlich Signature Homes in Bakersfield, CA. Ron and his wife MaryAnn reached out last year wanting to get involved in the work of Homes for HOPE and completed their first home in December, benefiting over 5,000 HOPE clients.

Ron, a fourth-generation Californian, was born and raised in Bakersfield where his roots ran deep. His relational investment was never more obvious than at the launch and completion of their Homes for HOPE project. He found great joy in bringing people together to invest in the causes he believed in.

While our time together was short, we are thankful to have known Ron and to know he is no longer hurting. Our thoughts and prayers are with MaryAnn, his children, grandchildren, and of course faithful dog, Bear. The Froehlich Signature Homes Family will always have a friend in Homes for HOPE.

May we all take a note out of Ron’s book to invest in those God has placed around us.

Maranatha, come Lord.

A special note from Homes for HOPE Founder Jeff Rutt:

In memory of Ron Froehlich, we mourn
For a life so full, so bright, so warm
He touched so many with his heart of gold
A man of God, so generous, so bold

His light for Christ shone bright and true
In all he did, in all he pursued
He built not only homes and towers tall
But also built men, and helped them stand tall

He knew that his business belonged to God
And lived his life as a faithful steward
His love for his family, a true delight
His wife, his grandkids, shining so bright

His legacy lives on, in all he’s done
In the lives he’s touched, in battles won
Though we may mourn, we’ll also smile
For Ron Froehlich, lived a life so worthwhile

Rest in peace, dear friend, you’ll be missed
Your memory, forever in our midst
Thank you for being a true man of the people
Your light for Christ, forever our steeple.
