Verity Homes | Milestone Award Honoree 2024
This year, Homes for HOPE is proud to honor our Milestone Award Honorees who have been partnering with us for 10 years!
Our partnership with Verity Homes began when Founder and CEO, Art Goldammer, heard a presentation about the mission of Homes for HOPE at a Bob Whitten, SMA Consulting seminar in 2014. He was struck by HOPE’s model of providing loans to talented entrepreneurs living in poverty around the world so they can start or expand their businesses, and receive business training, while sending their kids to school, providing jobs for others, growing spiritually, and more. HOPE’s holistic approach aligned with one of Art’s core beliefs is that there is no such thing as “good enough.” Over the last 10 years, Verity Homes has generated hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations to Homes for HOPE and many other incredible causes close to the communities in North Dakota where they build their beautiful homes.
“We have tremendous power as homebuilders, and we can give a lot back to our community while setting a good example for other community leaders,” Art said. This is the not-so-secret mission of Verity Homes. Not only do they pride themselves on building homes people love to live in, they also place a tremendous amount of value in giving back to the communities they serve. As they expand their company, they also expand their community building efforts, and in this way, they can see themselves in the people Homes for HOPE is privileged to serve! We hear countless stories of people once living in poverty who are now giving generously to meet needs in their own communities – like Faustin, Patrick and Aisha, and Jovelee!
The word Verity means “a true principle or belief, especially one of fundamental importance,” and was chosen intentionally by Art as a foundation for his company’s core values. They believe conducting their business under the name of truth provides an opportunity to “build peace of mind” for their customers. This is another way the Verity Homes team relates to and sees themselves in Homes for HOPE’s mission as we strive to alleviate global poverty in all its forms, leading to an eternally secure sense of hope and peace built on something more than just performing a good deed for someone.
