BELTON, TX – It was time to celebrate at Flintrock Builders on January 14 as the entire organization gathered at their Belton, TX home office to present their first major donation to Homes For HOPE.
“Flintrock Builders is proud to partner with Homes for HOPE and contribute $100,000 to support their mission of transforming lives around the world,” said Chris Doose, CEO & Founder of Flintrock Builders. “This partnership aligns with our core values of compassion, empowerment, and collaboration as we strive to make a lasting difference not just locally, but globally.”
During the event, HOPE International representative Drake Holtry led the enthusiastic employees in an exercise that demonstrated the “multiplier effect” of microloans versus traditional one-time charitable gifts. There was also a presentation showing how HOPE International’s microfinance and discipleship programs provide client families with the opportunity to lift themselves out of severe poverty.
“The level of excitement among the Flintrock team was amazing to see,” observed Kent Rice, Homes For HOPE’s Western US representative. “You could just feel how sincere they were in recognizing that global poverty is not an ‘over there’ issue, it’s something we all should face when we ask the biblical question, ‘Who is my neighbor?’ And Chris Doose was certainly leading the charge! We’re so grateful that Flintrock Builders has taken this huge step and we look forward to an ongoing partnership that will truly change lives!”
Homes For HOPE presented Flintrock with a Builders Award as staff and the Belton Area Chamber of Commerce cheered. Several local media personalities covered the event.
