2025 Shinn Executive Summit Recap

Last week, I had the privilege of representing Homes for HOPE at one of the industry’s most sought-after private builder events, the Shinn Executive Summit. The three-day event was packed with good food, networking, and highly valuable insight. Attendees gained access to best practices, data-driven economic forecasts, and expert advice on boosting profits, leading teams through ever-evolving market conditions, and becoming a Builder of Choice.

We all learned a great deal from the presenters. A number of attendees on the last day shared how they’d need to pace themselves and not overwhelm their teams with all the poignant takeaways and actionable information they were bringing back with them from the Summit. It would be like making their team drink from a firehose!

I benefited most from the time I got to spend with prospects, Homes for HOPE Partners, and long-time friends in the industry. As we processed and discussed all we had been taking in, we found ourselves going further and learning more about what’s really important to us…what drives us in our work. A major theme was building trust across generations and inspiring teams to work together toward a purpose bigger than themselves. This resonates deeply with the mission of Homes for HOPE and speaks to the cultural moment we’re in. As generations, work environments, priorities, economies, and cultural landscapes change, so must we. We must increase our awareness of the world we live in and take appropriate action.
